  • Idaho Housing and Finance Association

    Idaho's state housing agency; runs rental assistance programs, affordable housing listings, and help for homeowners behind on their mortgage.

  • Jesse Tree

    Helps pay past-due rent and provides case management so families in the Boise/Treasure Valley area can avoid eviction.

  • Community Action Agencies of Idaho

    Local agencies across the state that offer emergency housing help, homeless prevention, and other crisis services through the Community Services Block Grant; the state page can point you to your local office.

  • St. Luke's Financial Assistance

    Idaho's largest health system offers free or discounted care if you can't afford your bill; ask any billing office for a "financial assistance application."

  • Saint Alphonsus Financial Assistance

    Charity care and payment plans at Saint Alphonsus hospitals and clinics; nonprofit hospitals are required to have these programs, so always ask before paying a big bill.

  • Idaho Primary Care Association

    Find a community health center near you that charges on a sliding scale based on your income, including if you're uninsured.

  • Idaho SNAP (Food Stamps)

    Monthly money on an EBT card to buy groceries; apply online at idalink or at any Health and Welfare office.

  • The Idaho Foodbank

    Statewide food bank network; use their food finder to get free groceries from a pantry near you, no paperwork needed.

  • Idaho WIC

    Healthy food, formula, and nutrition support for pregnant women, new moms, and kids under 5.

Healthcare Coverage & Free Care

  • Idaho Medicaid

    Free or very low-cost health coverage for low-income adults (Idaho expanded Medicaid), kids, pregnant women, and people with disabilities. Apply at idalink.
